Happy New Year! I hope you all had some fabulous and relaxing time off.
I had a blast myself. You know that scarf that took me three months to finish? I gave it to my mom, and she loved it. She was totally showing it off to everybody. It was all worth it.
Otherwise, my holiday involved a lot of family time, a lot of crocheting, and a lot of driving. It was totally different from my normal life, and I think that was good for me. Now it's back to work and back to the dye pots!
Not everybody has been slacking, though. The creators of the Phat Fiber Sample Box made a video of some of the samples that will be included in the January box, including my yarn. In case you haven't heard of this, it's a box of small samples of a lot of different indie yarn, fiber, stitch markers, and other fiber-related things--a chance to check it out before you buy. I'd say it's very cool but dangerous--talk about enabling! Anyway, I'm always psyched to see my yarn somewhere other than my house.
